So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. ―
Jesus ChristWe all find hope in meeting someone who has experienced the same hardships as us, yet has been able to successfully overcome them. God Himself, through Jesus Christ, became fully human, experiencing the same struggles as us, even death itself, yet overcame them all. God was willing to do this because He loves you and wants to give you the same victory in your life. The Bible reveals this in Hebrews 2:18 and Hebrews 4:15 & 16. Jesus is offering you forgiveness of your sins, freedom, and an eternal home in Heaven with Him (John 11:25-26).
Welcome to 20 Church!
Community Roots for over 100 years:
Our Story:
We have a long and rich history in Vineland. Twenty Valley Community Church – 20 Church – has been in this community for over 100 years!
In 1908, Twenty Valley Community church had its humble beginnings when a preacher from Topeka Kansas felt persuaded that the revival that broke out in a Bible College in that community should be told elsewhere. His determination for us in this valley culminated in a tent meeting in nearby Jordan. People from near and far were attracted to these meetings that were extraordinary because of the sense of God’s power being manifested. This first meeting was followed up with another meeting which lasted for several days at a camping site in the Jordan Valley. People were amazed at the overwhelming power of the Holy Spirit which was being ‘poured out’ in a manner not unlike that recorded in the Book of Acts. There were reports of souls being converted to Christ while there was great enthusiasm for the Acts chapter two experiences in and of the Holy Spirit as well as testimonies of divine healing. The lasting result was the planting of a small congregation in the town center of Vineland. Sunday School commenced in a borrowed hall and shortly, the little church grew in what seemed like limitless ways.
A piece of property was acquired at the intersection of RIttenhouse and Victoria Avenue. The first structure that appeared on the lot was an airplane hanger that was transported to the site and repurposed for the growing assembly of Spirit filled believers. We are still meeting on that very site, albeit, in a structure that has undergone numerous renovations. We are a prominent fixture on the main street of Vineland.
During the years of church growth, successful endeavours to start other churches brought a great sense of God’s leading. The founding of the current Central Pentecostal Church on Scott street in St Catharines was greatly influenced by our church. Later in the 1960s another adventure in church planting resulted in the now prominent church on the Q.E. Way, identified as Lakemount Church.
As for pastoral leadership; some of the most renowned preachers of the early days of Pentecost in Canada were well known as frequent preachers at this assembly. A lengthy list of some of the who’s-who of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada served as resident pastoral leadership. Some planted, others watered and God gave the increase.
Our small congregation is again experiencing the winds of renewal as we meet in our elegant little building on Sundays at 11. This year we were again engaged in assisting our Ukrainian Community. A new Ukraine church outreach begins this August right here within 20 Church. We are also now a partnering host to the Christian preschool, which operates during the school year to provide helpful instruction to our young Community Scholars, as they prepare for their first year in kindergarten classes provided by the public school board.

THE CHURCH
The word “church” originally meant “gathering”. We believe that the church is not a building or denomination, but rather t is the believers themselves who make up the church. We believe that all Bible believing churches are part of God’s family and that we must share in ministry and fellowship with each other as the Spirit of God leads.
For what shall it profit a man, if he gains the whole world, and lose his soul?
