Listen

For those who are listening in, some of them in real time, right now, are listening in to this message.
I hope and I pray, Lord, that what’s about to be said will bring comfort, strength, healing, and encouragement.

I’ve never done this before. I’ve been preaching for over 50 years. Never have I said these words…

But I happen to know that someone’s listening in right now from a community known as Maple Ridge to another part of Canada. What I’m about to unfold this morning, I dedicate to that individual and his precious wife, Darrell, among the many, many people who are going to hopefully be encouraged and uplifted, my prayer is that you will be especially encouraged today. I’m struggling today because of my knowledge of the situation there. There’s few people on the planet that I’m closer to. April and I both to this very, very special couple. And it’s not my place to disclose the challenges that they’re meeting right now. But the Lord knows.

So I begin with this verse. In Ephesians chapter 2 verse 6-7, the Apostle Paul is speaking of God’s people, and he says … and God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus. In order that in the coming ages, He might show the incomparable riches of His grace expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.
